 SATURDAY

14 May 2021

A communication from the Director

Good Afternoon MRHOG Members,

The following is a description of the ride for our North Rim Grand Canyon experience. Sounds like great fun.  Don't see how you can go wrong with motorcycles, friends, shopping and scenery! Look for the poll that will be on Facebook soon. If you haven't yet made your reservation, you will want to do so soon. I know there are members staying at the Travelodge and Ailken's Lodge. Hope you can make it.

Sincerely,

Sebrena, Director MRHOG

We will continue on Hwy 9 to Hwy 89 going thru the southern half of Zion National Park and more awesome scenery (approx. 60 mi.).  There is a cool trading post at this intersection that we will check out. We will then head south on Hwy 89 to Kanab, Ut. (approx. 20 mi.).

The ride from;

I bet you thought we were going to return on the same route back-NOPE! We are going to make a complete loop around the Grand Canyon. We will head south on Hwy 89alt. towards the Grand Canyon and gas up at Jacob Lake and do some last minute shopping at the trading post. We will continue on Hwy 89alt. for some more awesome scenery, just be careful not to overdose on too much scenery, to Hwy 89 south to Cameron for gas and another trading post. We will continue on Hwy 89 to Flagstaff and pick up Route 66 thru town and enter Interstate 40 west of Flagstaff. With time permitting we will stop at Bellemont HD. We will continue on Interstate 40 and exit on ramp 161 Williams for gas. We will hop back on the 40 and exit on ramp 139 Crookton Rd. (Rt. 66) to Seligman for a rest stop and snack. We will continue on Rt. 66 to Kingman where the ride will end.
