Ride to Wickenburg for lunch
25 APRIL 2021
This morning a group of MRHOG members met at the Mother Road Harley shop for a lunch ride. Our Road Captain, Lonnie W. led us to Anita’s Cocina in Wickenburg. We departed under clear and sunny skies, but with some strong winds accompanying us most of the way. We also had the wind on our return ride and I think it was blowing a bit harder.
Upon arrival at the restaurant, and a few minutes wait, we were seated. The waitress promptly served our drinks along with chips and salsa and took our individual orders for lunch.
After lunch we rode around the corner to the American Legion and spent a few minutes at the Korean War Veterans Memorial. Marc & Elsa walked across the street to look at an old time steam locomotive. The rest of us went across the street to window shop at a hat store. We spied a tarantula next to the front door. I tried tapping it with my toe to get it to move. No such luck, it was bolted to the sidewalk!! Then it was time to top off the gas tanks for our return ride back to Kingman and home.
